Fit Out

City, London

8 Weeks

Nestled in a charming alley in the heart of the city, this Grade 2 listed building dates back to 1767 and retains many of its original features, including the mutule cornice, archways, enriched cornices, and the main staircase. The building’s rich history and distinctive architecture provided both a challenge and an opportunity to create a modern office space that respects its heritage.

We were delighted to undertake the fit-out of the 2nd and 3rd floors, transforming the tired and dated office spaces into functional, bright and modern office spaces, breakout areas, and a subtly and sympathetically reimagined boardroom. The main room, while retaining its historical features, was upgraded to function as a fully equipped boardroom, complete with large video conferencing capabilities, ensuring it met the demands of modern business.

Upon completion of the construction phase, we also managed the relocation from the existing office. We carefully moved all the furniture and set up the new space over a single weekend, ensuring that the office was fully functional and ready for use by Monday morning.

Key Project Highlights:

  • Listed Building Considerations: Throughout the project, we worked closely with the building’s unique characteristics to design a modern, functional space that remained sympathetic to the building’s historic charm. We carefully considered the architectural features and heritage elements, ensuring that the design enhanced the existing structure while respecting its character. We sought to blend contemporary needs with the building’s traditional features, creating a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical, without compromising the building’s historical integrity.

  • Relocation Management: We expertly managed the relocation from the client’s existing office to the new space, overseeing every aspect of the move. Our team carefully packed and transported all furniture, equipment, and personal items, ensuring everything was handled with care to avoid any damage. The entire process was completed over a single weekend, with meticulous attention to detail in setting up the new office. By Monday morning, the new workspace was fully functional, with all systems, furniture, and workstations properly configured, ensuring the client’s staff could seamlessly resume operations without any downtime.
